Formed as a three piece back in 1995, Collard Greens & Gravy have gone on to command the blues airwaves around Melbourne city. Fronted by Ian Collard (lead vocals, harmonica, guitar) - also of Backsliders fame and backed by Sean “Juke Boy” Emmett (guitar) and Jason Liu Soon (drums) Collard Greens & Gravy play some mighty fine original delta Blues.
The band’s second album ‘More Gravy’ won Best Blues and Roots album at the ARIA Music Awards of 2001 with Patrick Donovan writing for the Age at the time describing CGG as "[their] local brand of swampy countrified electric blues has earned them a reputation as the best blues band in the land." Collard Greens & Gravy have gone on to write and record some very accomplished music since.

The night will be set alight with fantastic band Cross Bones Boogie opening with their stripped down, simple and to the point, style of blues. Cross Bones Boogie's music is for dancing and for listeners dancing on the inside. Reinterpretations of classic Delta songs from the likes of Son House and Robert Johnson together with original edgy tunes gives Cross Bones Boogie a unique take on the blues.
