The Spoils - Reunion Show + Penny Ikinger Band

Sean Simmons last played George Lane in support of Rob Snarski & Lindy Morrison at the end of March. This time he returns with his beloved Spoils.

Triumphant and fueled with renewed energy after their appearance at the Punter’s Club reunion in July for the Leaps & Bounds Music Festival, The Spoils ride one last time to play the suburb they were founded in over 20 years ago.

Quintessentially St. Kilda, The Spoils formed just before the turn of the century in York St. They played their first show at the Espy supporting Rowland S. Howard and recorded their debut album, “Hurtsville” in the West St. Kilda RSL on Loch St – a beautiful 19th century mansion that still stands there today.

They would go on to release 3 studio albums and one European compilation before dissolving somewhere in the two thousand and teens. While they had a loyal following in their home country, the band always made a greater impact overseas signing with French label BEAST RECORDS. They were one of the first bands of their generation to tour Europe along with contemporaries The Drones, Devastations, Six Ft. Hick Penny Ikinger, James McCann and more.
