Back in March, when Dan Warner & The Night Parrots launched their acclaimed new album ‘Maybe, then...’, the last song of the gig was a never-before-heard original tune called, ‘Long Gone Songs’. The song went off. After the gig, the rumbling in the room from the audience was ‘why the hell did The Night Parrots leave ‘Long Gone Songs’ off the record? ’Well, the band has taken the hint.
At George Lane on Sunday afternoon 27th of August, Dan Warner & The Night Parrots return to St Kilda to put things right by launching ‘Long Gone Songs’ as a brand new single. The full Night Parrots line-up will be playing the show-featuring Marcel Borrack, Clio Renner, Ash Davies, Nathan Farrelly and Adam Simmons.
As fellow St Kilda muso Paulie Stewart put it: ‘Melbourne is acknowledged as one of the world’s great music cities and it’s thanks to the likes of Dan Warner...’ Come on down to George Lane on Sunday 27th August and help celebrate a new song from one of our finest local songwriters.
