Rowan Smith returns to Melbourne with his new record, in the key of kintsugi.
Reviews of the album have compared the singer-songwriter with the likes of The Go-Betweens, Edwyn Collins and Lloyd Cole. Rowan's songs have appeared in the Triple J Hottest 100 and ARIA Top 20, and this year, in the key of kintsugi glues all the pieces together.

His first show in Melbourne with a band since Rowan founded Macguffins here in the late eighties, and later Barefoot (before moving to Hobart where he has produced a further six solo albums) this show is a very special musical homecoming. And the band befits the occasion: Macguffins’ bass player, Michael Paxton; vocalist and guitarist, Gina Hearnden from Blackbirds FC and The Hollowmen; and drummer, Craig Mitchell from Greenhouse. The setlist will feature songs from in the key of kintsugi, plus others from Rowan’s much loved previous Melbourne bands.
