Of all the Australian bands who rose to prominence in the 90s, Icecream Hands still has one of the most loyal and enthusiastic fanbases.
Now - with a brand new album on the horizon - the band is set to thank their fans for their loyalty with a huge gig at George Lane St Kilda on the afternoon of Sunday 23 March, where the fans choose the entire setlist.
For their first-ever Lost Classics gig, fans get to vote for any song from the band's extensive catalogue they want to hear live.
With more than 100 recorded tracks from seven LPs, EPs and singles over their stellar career, the song choice is huge.
Take a listen to some of those tunes below:
Icecream Hands - 'Dodgy' (Official Music Video)
Icecream Hands - 'Rain Hail Shine' (Official Music Video)
Perennial fan favourites include Dodgy, Nipple and Yellow and Blue, and there's every chance these will make the cut at this one-off gig. However, this gig is a chance to revisit the band's brilliant B-sides and ballads; guitar wig-outs from Sweeter than the Radio; lesser-known marvels from 2004's compilation You Can Ride My Bike... anything goes. The fans decide, with the most-voted-for tracks getting a guernsey.
Buy your ticket to Icecream Hands Lost Classics gig at George Lane St Kilda, and you’ll later receive a private link to the voting site. Fans can vote for up to three songs.
Support for the day is still to be announced. Doors open at 2pm and tickets can be purchased below:
